In this detail, the strips may be closed off to become individual spaces, or they may be dissolved to become one big space. First, a scrim screen may be rolled down to cut off the theater above the beach. Second, the space in the community center can be an auditorium with a stage. Third, the stage and the gate may be closed off, and the scrim rolled down on the library side, making the theater a bigger one. Fourth, the area can become the entrance to the library. Finally, the scrim on both sides may be rolled up, so the whole area can become one big space. In this detail, the thresholds of the strips are there, but the actual physical boundary may fluctuate.
