Beach / Circulation / Viewing Platform

A viewing platform is created between two blocks. The change of material and the gap indicates that it is a different space. But it is formed with elements taken from the two adjacent blocks, including the cantilevered roof and the metal drop at the end. On the platform, frameless glass is used to diminish the division between circulation and the viewing area. The platform also doubles as a canopy for the beach underneath. The beach is treated as a tray of sand. At the edge, the tray slides out, and logs are placed for people to step up. Different users in the different strips are mixed in this space.
