increase public awareness for environmental issues, the image of "green"
architecture is projected directly by having plants on the exterior
at the circulation core and refuge area. Plants may also be put on
the grid on the southwest elevation, where retractable shading devices
are hung. Windows are operable, and mechanical systems are put in
as supplementary. An open stairwell is placed at the tip of the building
at a prime location so as to encourage its use instead of elevators. |
